Hi, I just bought a Cavalry 1TB external Hard drive. And I am having some troubles with the transfer speeds I am getting with the HD. I have tried 2 different connections. USB 2.0 and eSATA.
Here the link to the Hard drive I purchased.

With the USB 2.0 I am getting around a 32 MB tranfer rate, and when I have it connected with by my eSATA cable, I am only getting around 55-60MB transfer rate. Not the 3GB that I have read that eSATA is suppose to transfer at.
Here are my computer specs if you need them.
Asus P5Q Pro motherboard
Intel E8500 Dual core Possessor
ATI 4850 video card
4Gigs of RAM
Any idea why I am getting such slow transfer rates? and how I might be able to improve them? Any help would be awesome!
Thanks,
Typeo
