Troubleshooting after Custom Build

I just finished up building my first custom build PC and was so excited to plug it into the monitor but when the monitor scanned for inputs, none is found. Everything in the tower turns on so it is not an issue of power but the case came with only 3 standoffs instead of 4, for safety I screwed in all four. I was wondering if that had anything to do with it.
(If you can't tell already I'm fairly new at this.)

Here is the build if it helps:
MB: Asus Z87-A
CPU:Intel i5
GPU:GeForce 760x OC
Power: Corsair CX430

The PSU is on the weak side for that build, I would try another if you have a spare over 500w.

I think I've got 8 standoffs.

The CX430 is too small (and crappy) for the gtx 760. Not that it should stop your pc firing up.

Make sure you have plugged the monitor into the graphics card rather than the motherboard.

I knew it was going to be slightly weak but was going for a pretty cheap build to start with. And that wouldn't stop it from booting would it?
