[SOLVED] Troubleshooting display artifacts?

I'm not even sure artifacting is the right term for what im seeing. Its a samsung hdtv model# un75nu8000f. All of the menus and buttons in the samsung program have a bizzare look to them. When i hook my computer up to it, the same colors show up on my desktop. The screen watching ota is normal, unless i go into the guide, which has the same artifacting looking colors. Also and possibly related. When i try to hit the home button on the remote, it just flashes the menu before closing it back out. I don't know if this would be a firmware issue or a fried circut somewhere. I haven't had a chance to load any software or games to see if it persists there as well. Any insight would be awesome.
