After upgrading my GPU from a Zotac RTX 3060 Ti to an Inno3D RTX 4070 Ti Super, I've encountered a series of issues that seem to coincide with the upgrade. The problems started on day one when I encountered a blue screen while attempting to load a game. The next day, while playing Valorant, my entire PC froze upon entering a match; I couldn't switch windows or perform any actions aside from hearing audio. I had to power off the PC using the physical button. On the third day, I noticed green lines appearing on the Windows 11 loading screen before reaching the desktop. Today, during gameplay of Forza Horizon 5, both my monitors lost video, and all audio ceased after only 20-30 minutes of play. Though the lights in my PC remained on, I couldn't power it off using the case button; I had to resort to using the power button at the back of the case.

I'm now considering whether the new GPU might be the root cause of these issues. Unfortunately, due to my professional commitments, I haven't had much time to conduct exhaustive testing. Is there a reliable method to determine the underlying problem?

For reference, here are my PC specifications:

  • CPU: 5800X
  • Motherboard: X470 GAMING PRO, BIOS version 7B79v1K dated 05.08.2022
  • RAM: 32GB 3600MHz CL16
  • PSU: 850W
Additionally, when I initially installed the new GPU, I didn't use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to remove the RTX 3060 Ti drivers. Instead, I only uninstalled the old drivers at the time of installing the new ones for the RTX 4070 Ti Super. Later, I used an older version of DDU (v18.0.5.7) to uninstall the drivers, and today, I used the latest version of DDU for the same purpose.

update BIOS to version v1L1

which 850w psu is it?
It is this PSU.

The way I am powering this GPU is by 8 PIN connector plugged it 6+2 pcie socket in the PSU and then into the adapter that came with the graphics card. Is this the right way to connect the GPU in this PSU?

Also I had run a stress test on this GPU to check stability using FurMark for 10 hours and it did not crash once, but today I was playing a game and it randomly lost all display and I couldnt get the display back on without turning it off from the power button on PSU on the back. Even the power button the case couldnt power off the PC.

This is how I have powered the GPU - https://gyazo.com/034d223090c41a4a98b3d7009ed4eb40
