Troubleshooting lcd tv screen

My lcd tv turns on and works fine for about 30 sec then just goes black screen and no functions work what do I need to replace or should I just go buy a new tv.

Backlighting fluorescent lamps may be dead. If you can reach them, you may see that they are burned. I believe they work under very high voltage. The high-voltage transformer/switcher may also be damaged.
