Smart move Apple did . I also thought what would I need that might be hard to get and not go nuts with stocking up. I choose some SSD's 2 x 10 packs.

I have been watching the market and I should have pulled the trigger last month as now most of the 10 pack are now 5 packs for the same money..

My thought is I might not even be able to get the 5 packs later let alone any more 10 packs if there slow to restock or worse.

I also see the used market of parts creeping up as well so keep that in mind if you might need a part for your hardware.

I'd suggest just taking a step back and looking at how it all works out, in the end. That's the thing that really matters.

We can argue what was planned or not, but even if there was a plan, it could still fail or be effectively countered. So, I'm not going to get tied in knots, trying to guess at what they might or might not be thinking. Just watch the end result and assign credit or blame accordingly.
