How to identify the bios chip on a segate hdd?

Your BIOS chip would not be on the HDD, but rather on the motherboard. It "should" look like a black box with about 8 little legs coming off of it.

I have a Seagate PCB board with serial# 100535704 and it has two of them.

My first board was damage , so i source a board from china with the same serial # but the bios chip/ firmware is different . thats my reason

at this point, i would have just bought a new drive and transferred the data. just my opinion.
