Hello

Im thinking about buying a 4k monitor nowdays games are starting to support it more and more since the new consoles are supporting it too

I was mostly looking at the LG 24UD58-B and the Samsung U28E590D
(Or the Dell U2518D thats not 4k but 2k and hdr)

Both reliable brands in my opinion samsung is bigger but lg is cheaper
Samsung has bit better rewievs but lg is ips (i prefer ips)

I dont mind either 24 nor 28 inch my monitor now is 21 inch full hd tn

I have a pc with the gtx 1080 that i know isnt that great for 4k but i will upgrade to volta anyways xP

What do you think are those monitors good?

Solution
I bought a LG 27MU58-B Black 4k monitor. $380 as I recall.
It works well @4k on a GTX1050ti. for everyday work.
Even some games lice civ4 play decently.

depends. what is your setup now? alot of people are gagging for 4k right now but are finding out they dont have the hardware to support it. good 4k monitors start around 5-600$ canadian.
those 'specific' monitors i dont know about but i watched a youtube video of doom2015 on a 4k ASUS monitor and it looked great.
tbh im biased toward asus cuz its all ive bought. great afterservice.

Hi dude
agreed asus are great my motherboard is from them and i love it

My setup is:
gtx 1080
I7 6700k
Asus maximus viii hero
2x8gb ddr4 corsair vengance lpx 2666
Xfx pro series xxx 850w
Samsung sm951 m.2 ssd 128gb
1tb wd black hdd
cryorig h7 cpu cooler

Acer KA220HQ

I have a backup pc which I use mainly to play civ2.42 that requires a 32 bit os.
On that, I actually use a GTX750ti which runs 4k just fine as well as civ 4 reasonably well.

I am currently using that lg monitor to test a build for my Kids and grandkids.
It uses a I5-7600K and a GTX1050ti.
Both work quite well at 4k.

One key to 60hz on that monitor is to use the displayport connection.

Yes, I need to get around to updating my profile.
