Trying to assemble an old pc

Hi, im new here. Im recently trying without success to fix my old pc. I dont know much about pc but im doing my best. So i have 2 pc and ine has a burned capacitor. So my it friend told me to switch the circuit board to the other pc i have. So i changed the processor , motherboard and graphic card. And i got an overclocking error on startup and windows restarts all the time. I have a dual core 1.87 ghz . And the other one is dual core 2.4 ghz. The motherboard os from the other pc also the graphics. Idk what to do. Ive been trying for more than a week and nothing seems to work

if the mb were dell or hp and you swapped cpu. the mb may not have the cpu code for the new cpu. if you can put in the older cpu see if posts fine then updated the bios.

Both were assembled so no hp or dell. The one im trying to make it work now makes it till windows loads and than it restarts. Idk ill take it to a shop but i wanted to fix it myself bcs i had that pc for 11 years and i feel like i have to do it lol
