I have a new laptop with an hdd running windows 10.

Installed a Samsung m.2 ssd that had windows 10 on it from another laptop and tried to use Samsung’s data migration software to erase and clone the hdd OS....that clone attempt failed leaving me with a boot loop caused by the laptop attempting to boot from the m.2 drive that has a faulty windows 10 on it...instead of booting from the hdd.

My goal is to boot from the original hdd in windows 10 while I have the m.2 ssd still connected inside the laptop.

If I navigate through windows 10 advanced options and click UEFI firmware settings and restart, this should boot from the motherboard.... allowing me to reset the boot order to the original hdd with windows 10 correct?

If for some reason I can't change the boot order and went in and removed the m.2 ssd from the laptop, restarted the laptop, it should just boot properly from the hdd with the original windows 10, correct?

I should be able to change the boot order allowing me to boot up properly from the hdd and then possibly access the m.2 so that I can figure out a way to erase it.
