I am going to be doing a Ryzen 7 2700 build, and have one component left to buy - the motherboard. I have two that I like, but cannot make up my mind. The two I am looking at are:

Asus ROG Strix X470-F

Gigabyte X470 Gaming 7

These two are at about the top of my budget ($200-250). Their features are pretty similar.

Is one better than the other? I'd like to OC my cpu and ram, if that makes a difference.

I also looked at the Asus B450-F, but was not sure if that was going to be good enough. I'm hoping to keep this through HS (4 years), so if spending $200-250 on a MB now, as opposed to $125 would make that more likely, I'd rather spend more on the MB.

Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have an Asus ROG Strix B450-F gaming and I am Very happy with it.
So, I'd lean towards the Asus X470-F also.

And I know Crosslhs82x2 has the Asus ROG Strix X470-F and he seems to be happy with it.

I thought about the B450-F, and the Crosshair VII Hero, but the X470-F seemed like a better deal

Looks like I'll be going with the X470-F.

it's got everything I want, and should last me a while, even if I upgrade to a 4th gen Ryzen in a couple years
