Trying to choose the best monitor for gaming

I am building a PC and I am trying to choose a good 23-27inch monitor for gaming. It should be under $300.
I have my eyes set on this one right now though

yes go for it its a nice monitor
the BenQ XL 2411Z is another option
im running the benq and its perfect
the only thing that it lacks as compared to the asus is a displayport
which doesnt really matter because all the latest GPU come with a DVI interface
the latest Nvidia GTX 900 series also sports DVI ports
which means that the DVI is not going out of use anytime soon
also reviews say that the BenQ comes with better color out of the box
and also has some extra usefull gaming features such as black equalliser etc...

Well I am most likely getting one of those monitors. Once Cyber monday comes around I will build this thing (Cyber Monday is the monday after Black friday If you did not know). I am most likely going to buy the 970

either of the two monitors will go perfectly with the 970
benq is my personal choice
but as i said its personal
nothing wrong with the asus
