Hello,

I'm setting up my laptop so I can share the network through it onto my desktop. Everything was fine yesterday (not to mention I used to do this for my Xbox 360.) I went into the Network and Sharing Center and I go into the properties>sharing tab> then I select allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection. When I do this I get limited connectivity on both my laptop and my desktop.

I have windows 10 so maybe I'm missing something?

While there are reasons to use a computer this way, for $15 or less you can buy a Wifi router to eliminate using the PC as a router/access point. It will be better at the function, more secure and more reliable. If you don't have a specific reason, and just learning how to do it is certainly sufficient reason, then buy a cheap router and forget the headaches.
