trying to connect my laptop to my hitachi tv

I have a 1.8M VGA TO 3 RCA LEAD/CABLE FOR HD TV PC LAPTOP. Trying to connect my dell laptop to my hitachi TV but nothing is happening.

Only a very small number of devices support VGA to 3xRCA cables.

Any HDTV should have HDMI, as should any recent laptop. Use that.

You may need to push FN - function key + one of the F1-F12 keys to switch video output to your hitachi TV, also you may need to select correct input on the TV in case it would not auto switch once you push keys on the laptop.
