Hello all,

I'm not very experienced, trying to put together a new build. Someone on these forums helped me out and suggested a build for me, I made some tweaks but now I'm just second guessing the PSU.

Here's the proposed build:

PCPartPicker Part List: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/jL6cVw

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor ($279.98 @ Newegg Canada)
CPU Cooler: Deepcool GAMMAXX 400 V2 64.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ Amazon Canada)
CPU Cooler: Deepcool AS500 Plus 70.81 CFM CPU Cooler ($59.99 @ Canada Computers)
Motherboard: MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard ($228.98 @ Newegg Canada)
Memory: TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory ($104.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: Western Digital Black SN770 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($109.99 @ Western Digital)
Video Card: Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 6650 XT 8 GB Video Card ($419.87 @ Vuugo)
Case: Fractal Design Define 7 Compact ATX Mid Tower Case ($119.99 @ Memory Express)
Power Supply: Corsair RM650 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($109.99 @ Memory Express)
Case Fan: Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-14 68.4 CFM 140 mm Fan ($18.99 @ Canada Computers)

(still trying to decide between those 2 CPU coolers)

I'm wondering if the suggested PSU is actually compatible with AMD sockets? The product description simply says Intel compatibility. Like I said I'm inexperienced...

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

edit: also is it enough for this build?

About the only card I could recommend over the 6650XT at that price might be the Intel A750, but doesn't look like it has gotten to Canada yet.

PSU is plenty for the system.

I think I prefer the AS500 for that price. Quite low compared to everything else. Not a huge cooler, but then again if you aren't overclocking or anything, should be enough to keep the 5700X happy.

Thanks for the input. I'm actually thinking of overclocking my CPU, yea. Does that change things for the cooler?
