Trying to dual boot separate SSDs (Win7 and Win10)

I have two perfectly functioning SSDs, one has Windows7 and the other has Windows10 installed clean and perfectly set up and I just want a UI to boot into each whenever I want without having to hit F12 fifteen times every time.

The details
1. Win7 - games and some software that won't run under any circumstances on 10, not via VM, not via compatibility.
2. Win10 - the main OS for our home. Completely separate applications and programs.
3. Two storage drives (HDDs) for photos, documents, videos, and music I'd like both OS to be able to see. They don't need to have the same drive letter under each OS unless it causes problems otherwise.
4. That's it. What is on 7 is not in anyway on 10. They share nothing. I don't even need to see one when the other is loaded. The only thing they both have access to is peripherals and those storage drives. They do NOT share any software.
5. Win10 was installed. PC shut down, Win10 disconnected, Win7 installed. Then shut down, both plugged in, F12 to pick one or the other.

The questions
1. How can I link them without having to press F12 five times every time I boot
2. Why am I all of a sudden getting chdsk requests? All drives are healthy. Is one OS confusing the other somehow despite not having any link to each other?

Solution

Yeah, I was using it before. I had had to reinstall both Windows because EasyBCD was part of a problem I had that somehow messed up the boot manager on both drives. I had them both set up fine. But then I swapped one out temporarily to do some copying to a storage drive connected to the mobo and from that moment forward Windows never booted properly again due to boot errors. So, I was hoping to avoid EasyBCD because clearly it requires very careful maintenance.
If you had left the Win 7 drive connected when you installed the Win 10 on the other drive, you'd be presented with a screen like this at boot up.

At least I think it still does that.
That was Win 7 and the original Win 10 Tech Preview, in 2 different partitions.

Is there nothing I can do now? I've only been using both for about a week so there aren't months and months of settings but, you know, still, reinstalling Office, my video and audio editing software, etc.. it's just a pain.

Possibly EasyBCD

Solution

Used correctly, it is a popular, powerful application.
I've not heard of any major faults with it.
