Hello Everyone,
First time post and I was wondering if someone could have an answer to my problem. I have made a new build, my first. And everything was able to boot and I was able to load the OS on(windows 7 professional)
Now I have connected my PC to an HDTV and I wanted to use the AUDIO on it. The VGA cable has a 3.5 MM audio cable also with it.
My motherboard is an
-ASUS A55BM-E Socket FM2+ A55 mATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.microcenter.com/product/422578/A55BM-E_Socket_FM2_A55_mATX_AMD_Motherboard
and My PC case came with an internal speaker cable.
Now does my Motherboard have a speaker built into it?
It does have this:
Audio System Realtek ALC887-VD
Audio Channels 8-Channel
Where do I plug the cables in ?
My HDTV does have a HEADPHONE JACK and that is where I was connecting the 3.5mm audio cable.
Now where do I connect the 3.5MM audio cable on the PC? DO I use the motherboard HEADPHONE, OR GREEN CONNETOR, OR ORANGE.
Any Help Is Appreciated.
Thank You
-Danny

You should be able to plug the 3.5mm into the light green port on the back of your computer right next to the ethernet port and the other end into the TV if he has a 3.5mm in. If it doesn't then you can get a 3.5mm to RCA (the red and white plugs) and go to a RCA input on your TV. It's kinda hard to tell without knowing what you have on your TV as well.

Most motherboards have a pin connection for a small, internal speaker that's used for "beeps" during POST, mostly for trouble shooting purposes.

Hey Jake, thanks for the help. Unfortunately my HDTV only has a Headphone Port and I will need to buy a 3.5mm converter to RCA.

Thank You, but yes I have been using the manual.
And I am guessing that My motherboard does have a speaker.
