Question Trying to find a bios update for an old motherboard-- Samsung DeskTop System

Hi there, new user here. I've been searching for a while to try and find a bios update (or specific model even) for the motherboard of this old desktop system I have.

Basically, I tried to upgrade the CPU from a Pentium D 945 to a Core 2 Quad Q9560. I know it's the same socket type, but beyond that it doesn't boot. I assume it's just not compatible, but I can't find a supported CPU list or a bios update anywhere.

You 've stated a Samsung desktop system. Is this a laptop or a desktop? An SKU and/or model to the laptop/desktop will help give us more info to look for.

Out of curiosity, what processor did you drop into the system?

This is a desktop. I found out the model, it's a DM-V55, which has a good amount of stuff online-- although the bios update search doesn't seem to turn up anything good.

As for the CPU I tried to use, I attempted to upgrade to a Core 2 Quad Q9650. After doing so, it didn't boot so I put the Pentium D back in and it works just fine.

If nothing works I'll just have to get a motherboard that supports the CPU I need, or try a different CPU (although I still can't seem to find a list of supported CPUs for this motherboard...)
