Hi,

I ordered a brand new build parts list last week and took delivery of all components yesterday 😀

The MOBO i seleceted was an ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1150

Bad news ive actually just found out there's a common power failure issue with this MOBO. I now have a pc i cant build.. Can anyone help me find an alternative MOBO?

Going up in price isn't a problem as long as it doesn't exceed the £180 / $280 mark

Did you even try to power up that AsRock motherboard?

Every product line has bad units. No matter who makes em. The vast majority work perfectly for years, but a tiny number die, or just freak out after awhile. The best in the industry has failures.

Just because something failed for a few people does not mean the entire line, or even anything more than a very tiny percentage of the product line would ever be affected by the same problem.

Using your logic, you would never eat real food because someone else had that food spoil on them. That's no way to live your life.
Feast your eyes upon the gigabyte z97 gaming gt as a personal recomendation.

Although you could just use the Asrock board and get your monies worth, then RMA it when it fails (if it fails)

Unless ofc its the type of failure that causes component damage? I havent looked it up 😛
