Question Trying to find an old 90's Windows game

I remember playing this game around late 90's to 2000smth. It was more of a strategy game i think. I dont remember the whole concept nor the name only blur images. The theme if i can recall was around mayans or smth like natives, you had altars and you were spawning new troops to fight the enemy, it was 3d game not 2d. I think i was playing with red colored troops. thats almost all i can remember. Thanks in advance, please feel free to ask anything that might help.
