Trying to find bios updates for my system.

trying to find out where i can get updates for my bios, so i recently just bought a laptop, and it only has 2GBs of ram, so i bought 4GBs, (2x2GBs, same buyer, even made sure the details on the sticker matched 100%) and i've been getting alot of errors, at first was a blue screen now and again, and my laptop is fairly old, so i'm assuming there are bios updates for it, only trouble is i'm finding it difficult to locate OFFICIAL websites for them, and now i cant even boot into the bios with this new RAM, now i am sort of thinking it could be faulty ram too, but i want to update the bios if possible to determine if its just a problem with the bios, oh, and the clock speed and voltage is the same on both sets of RAM, only difference is 2x1GB > 2x2GB, according to AIDA64 and CPU-z, and dxdiag, my motherboard is arima, w65d1di, yes i am on windows 7, personally i don't like windows 10, i didn't have a 64 bit windows 8 installation disc, and on the AMD website, the highest avainable drivers for the integrated graphics only go up to windows 8

Intel ICH8M looks to be from 2006. Gateway was acquired by Acer in 2007.

Looks to be obsolete product with little support.

so chances are i wont *find* any updates, would i better off trying to get advice about the RAM?
(yes this isn't the memory section, asking if i should ask about the RAM in the memory section)
