[SOLVED] Trying To Find Serial and Batch Number

I am trying to rma a intel cpu and I need the serial and batch number and I have thrown away the box for my i7 8700k but I still have the manual and I am wondering if its in there. Otherwise I have heard that it is on the CPU itself but I wanted to sumbit my RMA before I remove my CPU, so that's why I want to know if both of those are in the manual?

Nope. That info will not be in manual. The info is stenciled on the outside of the CPU. CPU-Z might help with some of the info. Do you have installed on your PC?

The Serial Number and Batch Number isn't in CPU-Z, I installed it and carefully looked through everything.

Understood. I would equate batch to revision( on the CPU tab). Serial number, I wasn't sure, but can confirm you are correct.

Time to pull the heatsink and clean the thermal compound, it seems.
