I am in the process of researching a new build and I am currently going to buy a E6850. With this and few other things in mind I need my mobo to meet these requirements

1) Take advantage of the 1333 fsb
2) I want to be able to update to a possible future Quad Core
3) I want support penryn porcessor

So this leads me to something like the Asus PK5 Deluxe. My issue whic is not overally major for me is that I will be loosing a PCI slot do to the doubled size of my 8800 GTX. So I guess my question would be what mobo's actually meet my requirements? Heck I am not even sure if the PK5 does. Worth keeping in mind is the fact that I don't need SLI and that I am always willing to pay for quality over simply catching deal.

Regards

Chad

Yes, P5K meets your requirements. The GA-P35-DS3R or GA-P35-DS3P also do. If you need wi-fi stick with Asus. If you need Firewire but not wi-fi get the GA-P35-DS3P. If you don't need either Firewire or wi-fi get the GA-P35-DS3R. I'm not sure yet but I think the GA-P35-DS3R will not have the problem with the PCI slot.

Is there a sigificant quality difference between Asus and Gigabyte?
