So here is the deal, I've been trying to get high speed cable internet at my house (107Mb) and after a long and drawn out process, was told that because my house was more then 300 feet from the road I was not able to get service to my house. The current internet is just not what I want (5Mb) and I need more for work, I've looking into different places to try to get internet and none offer higher service to my place.

After doing a little brain storming and thinking I came up with an Idea. The edge of my property is right at 300 feet from the house and would be within their limits of putting the new service, is there a way I could make a little shack and have the modem in there and run cat5 or cat 6 cable the other 150 feet to my house?

but I'm right in thinking that is completely possible right?

if the cable company are willing to install a modem in a shed, it will need to be waterproof, ventilated, secure but accessible, and rodent- and burrowing insect-proof.
on long cable runs you want to keep losses to a minimum, so you'll need two separate ducting runs from the house to the shed. one for the ethernet cable, and one for the power. bury the ducts either side of a shovel-wide trench a foot below the surface. and make a note of where it is, for future reference.
