trying to get r9 280 to use 3 monitors

I have 2 monitors in DVI and 1 in HDMI but I can make it DP instead if needed. The card will recognize all 3 monitors but will only let me use 2 at a time. I can use any 2 by disconnecting 1 in the settings and using the other 2. The monitors I have are different sizes and resolutions though. This makes sense that I can't use it for eyefinity but I was hoping that I could just use it for 3 separate screens. Let me know any ideas I should try out. Thanks for any help.

In order to use three monitors on an AMD card, you have to use an "active" displayport to HDMI or DVI adapter.

A passive adapter will not work, it MUST be an active adapter.

My current R9 280 is using this one, and it works perfectly.
