I really could use one of y'alls help. I am building a Gigabyte F2A88XM-D3HP FM2+ motherboard with an AMD A10 7870k APU. it has 32gb of ddr3 memory, Asus DVD writer, Corsair SPEC-02 case, Corsair 750watt modular PSU. The PCIe GPU is a Sapphire rx550 4gb GPU.IMy OS is Windows 10 Home Premium 64 bit. I need help or any information that will help to install this PCIe card. I have gone to Device Manager and deleted the onboard graphics (on APU graphics) and drivers, shut down the pc, went into the BIOS, disabled the IGD onboard graphics, and set the North Bridge PCIe slot as primary GPU setting, saved and exited the BIOS, shut down pc, installed the rx550 GPU, restarted the pc. The computer booted up and the fan on the GPU was running. I went into Device Manager, and it said the device is working properly. Then the monitor flashed several times and I checked the fan on the rx550 GPU and it had stopped running. So, I guess the onboard graphics took over and turned off the rx559 GPU. I am really at a loss and this is not my first rodeo, but it is my first rodeo with APU/PCIe GPU conflict. I apologize for being a little long-winded. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again and have a blessed day.
Sincerely,
Dave Priddy

I'm looking at your description above and i don't understand one thing. You say you installed the RX 550 GPU, booted the system and it was working. The monitor then flashed several times and the on-board APU took over. Which HDMI/DVI-D output connection is the monitor cable plugged into, the external video card or the motherboards video outputs?
