[SOLVED] Trying to get sound through gpu's hdmi port.

I installed a gpu and hooked it to my display via hdmi, sound is still attempting to run through the motherboard so no sound is processing through the gpu. I already installed the latest drivers for my gpu. I'm running windows 10,

Here is a link to my pc build https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Ben3721/saved/#view=GMfRJx
My gpu is Sapphire Radeon RX 570 4 GB PULSE

Control panel's sound panel shows that realtek is still processing sound, and it doesn't show my gpu's sound.

In short I'm trying to get sound through my gpu's hdmi if possible.

Thank you to anyone willing to help me. I figured I'd run into this issue one day as I've heard its very common.

I just remembered I still have my amd apu graphics installed for my ryzen 3 2200g. Is it bad to have two completely different graphic drivers installed when one is entirely for the apu and one is entirely for the gpu, I figured I'd leave them installed to switch them for certain applications, like the apu for light stuff and the gpu for the heavy gaming.

Am I committing a sin so to speak that should cause this issue?

It's actually the same driver package - Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.9.1 . This supports both the RX 570 graphics card as well as the Ryzen 3 APU graphics. Installing the drivers after installing the graphics card should have been the appropriate procedure. There should not have been any reason to uninstall the...
It says Realtek Digital Output (2 - Realtek High Definition Audio) which I believe is my motherboards audio, its just not letting it through my gpu.

If the audio drivers for your gpu are properly installed, you should also see AMD High Definition Audio Device. Try removing the drivers with DDU and installing the latest ones again.
Before I uninstall freshly installed drivers, is there anything in bios that may be affecting this?

Let's get the silly question out of the way. What model monitor do you have and does it have speakers?

It's a old sony 42" 1080p 60hz with speakers built in. The sound always works fine through hdmi input, my other devices like my xbox 1 works fine with sound and so did the computer in question before I swapped from using the apu for the new gpu.

Are you on 1803 or 1903 WIndows?

If you're on 1903 and you go into Sound Settings, what does it list under Manage Sound Devices? Do you see your graphics card audio there? As Remeca states: AMD High Definition Audio Device.

If not, then the next silly question: Is your TV connected to the HDMI output of the graphics card and not the motherboard?
Also, you're not using any type of adapters, are you?

I'm windows 1903, hdmi is hooked directly into the gpu without adapters. It only shows realtek digital output. No AMD High Definition Audio Device.

Here's what mine looks like (though I have an NVidia Card and use my speakers). Nothing listed under Output Devices/Disabled?

I couldn't find that exact panel. EDIT: Mine appears to look different.

I also just noticed my amd chipset drivers 18.50.16.01 vs 19.10.16 are definitely outdated as well as my realtek pcie network drivers. Unfortunately msi live update is buggy for me and is unable to function half the time. Everything else appears to be updated. My gpu is running optional 19.9.1 drivers.

So after updating the chipset driver I checked my gpu driver, turns out it's the same driver as now my gpu driver is 19.10.16 as well. Really confused. Probably going to do a clean driver install.
