Trying to install HD6780 on 450PSU

hello guys... i am going to replace my graphiq card with readon HD 6870, but the ofiicial website said that i should have a 500 W power supply while mine is 450W
and ive saw in this forum i remember that some owners said that their 450 psu handled it without any problem..how could i know if my psu is able to run this GPU

I'm pretty sure 6870 needs two 6-pin PCIe power connectors. Does your PSU have them?

Whats the make and model of the PSU? If it a high quality unit and has the proper connections it may work, if it's a bargain basement brand then it could burn the house down.

You'll want a new PSU if you want to run a 6870.
