Rather than reinstalling, you can also buy a cheap USB 2.0 keyboard/mouse combo from Logitech, use that to get through the installation and then: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1720

i have got my gaming pc and my muse and keyboard, i tried with them but..
anyways i installed windows 8 on my mac and the trackpad and keyboard were working correctly during the installation. thanks
