When I built my PC I installed a SSD just for Windows 10 and a HDD for everything else. I just bought a new SSD to replace the HDD. My plan was to copy everything in the HDD to SSD then change the letter of the SSD to the HDD so all programs will work correctly. The HDD is the D drive and the new SSD is currently the E drive.

I copied everything over but everything in the WindowsApp folder gave me an error. The error says "Your organization does not allow you to place this file here." I tried to give me username permission in security and that still didn't work. Is there anyway around this? I would like to move those folders so my new SSD can be made the D drive and I can format the HDD and use it for backup.

I'm not sure why this folder is here. There is another WindowsApp folder in the C drive with a lot more folders in it. The one I'm trying to move from my HDD to the new SSD only have 5 folders (1 is Twitter and 4 are RAROpener). I tried deleting those two apps but the folders weren't removed.

Why does your secondary drive have a WindowsApps folder?
I have 5 drives in my system, and the WindowsApps folder lives on exactly one drive...the C drive.

Probably if you did a full clone from old HDD to new secondary SSD, and swap drive letters around, would work.

I'm not really sure why that folder was created there. Maybe I told Windows to install those two apps on the HDD instead of the Windows SSD.

If I delete those two apps (which I did), wouldn't it not matter if WindowsApp folder was in the new non-Windows SSD?

So then just copy everything except that folder.
