I was recently bought this for my birthday to use with my ipad/iphone: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Tablet-Keyboard-for-iPad/dp/B0053FAL24

It works beautifully with both apple products.

I also wanted to use it for my windows based pc running windows 7 64. I checked on the logitech forums, and there are reports of people using it successfully with windows 7 and xp. Thread here: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Keyboards-and-Keyboard-Mice/Does-Tablet-Keyboard-for-Android-Work-on-Windows-7/td-p/741636

I bought a bluetooth dongle, installed. It recognised the keyboard and asked me to input a string of numbers to pair it. I did this, hit enter, and it told me I was paired.

However, the keys aren't working.

The last post on the logitech thread is from a user having the exact same issue: successful pair but no key inputs working.

Any ideas what could be causing this? I've read from a few sources that it's working on windows pcs perfectly, but there's no precise info on how to get it working.

Really appreciate any help you could give.

Cheers!

Resolved: typing on it now.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure exactly what the issue was.

In case someone finds this with the same issue, I'll note my steps:

First, my bluetooth dongle wasn't being recognised due to a conflict with the motionjoy driver for using a ps3 pad in windows. If you have this software installed, you might need to unistal it from the device manager menu making sure to check the box to remove all drivers.

My bluetooth dongle then installed with no problems.

I searched for the device via the start menu and searched for: devicepairingwizard

While windwos was searching, I turned the keyboard on and helf down the Connect button on the rear of the keyboard. The bluetooth light flashed on the front of the keyboard and it appeared in the found devices.

The first time it paired. It asked me to input a string of numbers and said it had installed. I closed the window and tried to type. No luck.

I removed the usb dongle. Tried a new useb port, and repeated the steps.

It found the keyboard again, but gave me the failed to pair error.

Again, I tried a new usb port.

I repeated this three times, on the third attempt I was given the prompt to input the string of numbers once more. It told me I was successful agan. THis time, I double checked in the device manager and I saw the Logitech Keyboard named and fully installed.

It let me type.

Not sure what went wrong or what I did exactly, but now it's working perfectly. All I can suggest is to keep trying.

Apologies I cannot be more specific, but It certainly does work with a windows machine.

Weird... The bluetooth connection may just have been glitchy.

Go to "My Computer > My Bluetooth devices" and right click on the device you are trying to pair. Click properties and make sure that the "Automatically accept connections from this device." box is checked. Then try pairing again and after you type in the string of numbers, it should pair.

The steps I advise everyone to take who has a bluetooth logitech tablet keyboard is:
1. Disconect all usb devices like for example an infrared mouse
2 Go to parameters, go to my printers and devices, klick on add a device. Follow procedure but when asked to give the code of the logitech bluetooth keyboard you see beneath the input field a possiblity for choosing to view a randomly chosen code to type in on your logitech bluetooth keyboard.
3. I am from belgium so I have a logitech azerty keyboard (if you want to type numbers you need to either press the shift key continuously as you type the numbers or press once on caps lock key and then press on the numbers on the upper row. When I pressed the shift key continously it did not accept the code. However when I only once pushed the caps lock key it did accept the code. The strange thing is that the led light on the caps lock key does not light up as long it is not paired which made me first think that the caps lock key did not work (but as you noticed it did).

Another issue that I have with my logitech keyboard is that every time I connect it to a tablet or pc, not all keys work immediately. I first need to push (several times) on as many keys I can simultaneously to make all keys work. May be that's another hint to make the pairing process work.

Kind regards.
