So my son and I are contemplating building our first computer and came up with this. My son wants to get into gaming and will NEVER go past 1080p and will almost never care about playing a game on ultra high settings. With that in mind, I was trying to keep this under 1k. Where can I make some changes? One that I have to make is this...

Compatibility Notes

The Cooler Master Storm Enforcer ATX Mid Tower Case supports video cards up to 390mm long, but video cards over 270mm may block drive bays. Since the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE 3X Video Card is 310mm long, some drive bays may not be usable.

This is my very first project with my son. Trying to put something together for a few years to come. I have ZERO tech knowledge about this. I put these together with a combination of research (pc part picker and Tom's) and price.

One last thing. I have a powered driver and I know about the anti-static strap. Are there any other tools/equipment that we would need to build this sitting at our kitchen table? Thank you for all of your help.

Nothing that a little tweaking can't fix.
