Hello!
So I have this laptop that for some reason won't boot, I could format it and make it work, but I want to know if there is a way to recover the data in the hard drive.
Here is what I have tried so far, I tried to attach the images but can't...(I apologyze for the screeshoots, they are in spanish I will translate relevant parts, feel free to ask)

Entered repair mode>console mode.
https://prnt.sc/15uuzci
/fixmbr Operation completed succesfully
/fixboot Operation completed succesfully
/rebuildbcd scanning disks for windows installations...Result: total instalations 0.
I try bootrec /scanos but no installations found either. https://prnt.sc/15uvnlu

I enter diskpart to gather some info about the disks, it seems strange to me that main disk(0) partition table is GPT since usually it should be MBR(I may be wrong on this)
Columns are, Partition number - Type - Size - Offset. https://prnt.sc/15uwgn8
Part1 recovery
Part2 System
Part3 Reserved
Part4 Main
Part5 Recovery
Part6 main

I then try to enter recreate system image since sometime in the past I was able to access the data from there and simply move the files from there to an external unit, this time nothing, it seems inaccesible. https://prnt.sc/15uwcmr

I don't know what else to try, I refuse to think the data is not recoverable since it should be physically still stored in the drive?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much,
Cheers

Solution
If you want to recover your data, you will probably need to attach the drive to a different computer. Otherwise you could use the DOS version of DMDE.

https://dmde.com/manual/setup.html

You may use DMDE on a regular partition supported by DOS or use DOS bootable disk. This may be helpful when there are problems using specific disk. SATA disks must be switched to IDE-compatible mode in BIOS settings for direct ATA-access.

Can you show us the Partitions window in DMDE? There may be a simple DIY fix.

If you d-click the Principal partition and expand the $Root, do you see your files and folders?
I have been researching about DMDE and it is supposed to run inside the system, right?
I can't access windows at all from that laptop, only repair tools, console etc.

The automated recovery can't always find the OS, especially if you use a different version iso than what is installed, in that case you can try and add it manually.
