Trying to replace a gtx 960 with a 1060, but I don't know if it will fit

I am upgrading from my 960, but don't know if the card I am buying will fit in place of my 960. ]

as long as the dimension is similar, you are fine.
Correction: there is no 1060 ti... just 1060 3gb vs 6gb

I don't know if I have a PSU. Does an external power supply count?
Much of the label for it is in chinese, but I see the number 330 many times, so I am going to guess it has 330W

I'll take a bit to open my case and find the power supply.

The case height is 3.7 inch. Just measured it.

So I wouldn't be able to upgrade my graphics card then without a new case? (Assuming cards higher than the 960 require the same/more space than the 1060)

Other than the black brick, do you plug in anything else? Looks to me there is no easy upgrade with the tiny box. What games and why do you want to upgrade? 960 is pretty good pair for the I5.

I was planning on getting the oculus rift. I ran the steam VR check and, on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being not able to run at all and 10 being perfect), my PC is about a 4.

1060 is kind of entry level for VR, you would want a 1070 I would suggest try VR with it. Wait for 1150 ti low profile to come out, rumor says it will match 1060.
