Trying to save my GPU

Hi, I think my GPU is dying. When under duress (but not running hot) it crashes with artefacts all over the screens to the desktop with a “display driver stopped responding…” message, or sometimes crashed to BSOD.
Who crashed is complaining about the Nvidia drivers but their all up to date. I tried a clean install of the previous driver but no difference. I checked all my MOBO is up to date and flashed the latest BIOS to be sure and removed all overclocks, the GPU was not overclocked anyhow.
I’ve changed PCI slots and cleaned and re seated the card but all to no avail. The last thing someone suggested was flashing the GPU BIOS with nvflash.
This is my first PC and first build so it’s all a bit new to me. I tried following this guide as it seemed very strait forward: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-2288384/upgrade-gpu-bios.html

My problem is that I click the nvflash .exe and up pops the black window with all the text:

But I can’t follow the next instructions: “all you have to do is type in nvflash yourfilenamehere.bios“
As soon as I type the first letter it functions as a command and reams of text appear.

Dose anyone know what I’m doing wrong or can someone point me in the direction of a guide that is a little more helpful?

I tried to add screen grabs but they didn’t come up and I couldn’t work out how to do it but they were just of the guide where it says what to do and of my screen, and my folder which contains the nvflash.exe nvflash64.exe nvflash32.exe nvflsh64.sys nvflsh32.sys and the BIOS Palit.GTX780.3072.131106.rom. I've tried the nvflash.exe and the nvflash64.exe.

Yes I will under clock it in the end but I feel that in doing so I'm admitting defeat and that the poor thing is on the way out. I'm still hoping with the GPU flash that I might find some problem that could be fixed and save it.
When I built the PC I bought the GPU second hand of E-bay thinking I had a real bargain, after, as I learnt a bit more I realised that it was a mistake and I just hoped for the best; and it has lasted two years I suppose, he seemed like such a nice guy.
