Trying to save my music

My computer stop coming on and I have music on there and I was wondering if I get a new laptop can I take the hardrive out of my (Asus X551CA) and put it into a new laptop can I save and obtain the music and stuff from off of my Asus cuz I have to projects that I have to drop and all or my artists music are on there so im just wondering can I take my old hardrive out of my Asus and put in a new laptop and will I have still have the same information

If you get a new laptop, you can't just plug in the old drive into it.

Get a USB dock, and connect it that way.
Assuming the drive isn't dead, it should just appear as another drive letter.
