So basically, I can SLI the two GFX cards I mentioned using the DifferentSLIAuto work around but this is causing me issues as I need to be in Test Mode.

Windows 7 btw.

You should not have to use the "DifferentSLIAuto" work around. You can SLI different manufacturers' products as long as they use the same family of GPU. Just connect the SLI bridge and load the latest Nvidia drivers and you should be good to go.

For more information:

-Originally had the MSI 970 in my system, everything worked fine.
-A friend sold me the Zotac card for cheap.
-Inserted the new card into my system.
-Used the SLI bridge.
-Updated to latest drivers.
-Would not allow me to SLI in the Nvidia control panel, the option is greyed out.

Based on tutorials I have read online, I have done this correctly. Both cards are appearing in the control panel but the option for SLI is unavailable.

And to be exact, here are the two cards:

MSI GTX 970 GAMING Twin Frozr V 4GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Graphics Card

Zotac GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Graphics Card
