Hello! A friend of mine doing a small youtube thing, uploading gaming videos time to time- she asked me to ask you what is the good time to make videos public/upload targeting US New York viewers(or any US state) Should she use timezone selection before upload or should upload in directly her local timezone? If so, 2:00PM is any good? For the record she aware and knows how YouTube works in her own way and she actually knows better than me what to do and what to don't, she just needs a little bit help for correct time timezone.

Thank you!

I doubt that there is any specific "good time" to make videos public etc..

We live in a 24/7 global world and gamers are just as likely to be on at one time as well as another.

Your friend should focus on producing quality content in an attractive well understood manner.

Make sure the content is finished, tested, and ready for public consumption. Then upload.

The timing will take care of itself.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Does it really matter if you upload the video whenever you have it ready or you hide it on your own machine and then upload it at some set time. Some channels might hold content for a number of days if they want to space out content rather than post a bunch of videos and then post nothing for weeks.

It is not like a live stream where people will tune it at a certain time.
