Hello.

I was just wondering if anyone shared the same or similar experience. For reasons I will not go into too much detail (let's call it a spousal agreement), I had to give up my PC. I already have a PS4 Pro that I play my multilayer games on with my family and friends and single player games on the PC. I was the only one that has ever owned a gaming PC. Since going to gaming total on the PS4, I have pretty much adopted and loved everything that the system has to offer. I really like the UI and the ecosystem. I really didn't pay attention to trophies in the past, but I really dig them now. I love the simplicity and the ol' plop, press and play concept (I know you can do that with a PC, as well). The exclusives are amazing. And, the graphics are stunning.

However, there is one thing that I am having a hard time getting over and that is frame rate. There is nothing quite as smooth as playing 60+ frames per second, so it was a bit jarring. I was just wondering if anyone has done the same and how long it took to not notice the decreased frame rate. Like I stated, everything is golden, it is just the frames per second getting to me.

Thank you in advance for your responses!

yes, it is noticeable, especially when you have a good gaming pc that easily can offer 80+ fps on most games, but is not that bad either

also when you play form your bed with a wireless controller in a big tv you start to forget abut the whole problem

if you watch netflix and youtube in the ps4, remember to buy a nice wireless keyboard combo, something like this one

it is annoying to write long words on the ps via the controller

some games get updates and fixes the fps unstability, other will keep forever like that

the benefit if have a single small console using very few watts playing games also comes with the loss of fps and stability, some games are less than others in this situation as you will discover

for example games like phantom paint or gta v are very stable in that respect, others will be a lottery, not much can be done there, other than wait for firmware updates for your ps4 pro and updates for the games and hope for the best there or make a mini itx gaming pc, but you will loose the nice simplified experience ps4 pro offers

That's it right there!

I have been a PC gamer for a looong time. I figured it would be a welcome relief to go to a small, simple, all-in-one type of gaming system. For the most part it is great...it is just the frames I have to get used to.
