I have a pre-built Asus G15 ROG Strix Desktop 8-Core i7-11700F 32GB RAM 512GB SSD I bought it in2021 without a GPU and I put in an older EVGA GeForce GT 740 4GB.

So i am trying to do a i minor GPU upgrade with a New ASRock intel ARC A380. (Its called a Challenger ITX) My problem is when ever I install the new GPU , My PC will not boot, it just sits there dead in the water and never even gets to the BIOS. I have made certain that I have installed the GPU so that it is totally seated in the slot.

Curious if anyone can assist with this one. I have loaded my old GPU and everything comes right up. I will test the new GPU on another pc later and report back. Thanks in Advance for any assistance.

PSU is good quality, and overkill for any GPU of this realm.

When the system doesn't 'boot' - what happens when you press the power button? Does it immediately shut off? Or do you need to hold the button down to shut it ofF?

Just checking - but you *are* connected to the GPU's output (HDMI or DP) and not the motherboard?

Did you remove the old Nvidia drivers prior to installing the Intel GPU?
