Trying to upgrade my computer .

hello, im trying to upgrade my computer

asus rampage iii formula
i7-950 3.06ghz
gtx590
1000watts
ssd 80gb
2hdd 1tb x 2

i want to change my motherboard and cpu. reason why i do that is because trying to make computer for my brother, and he have power, gpu, hdd, so i want to

give him mine and trying to buy new one

my budget will be around $700~800 for case, cpu and mb.

for mb im looking for ASRock X79 Extreme6 LGA 2011 Intel X79 or sabertooth.

for cpu i7 2600 or 2600k is there any big difference between that?

for case, i actually had one but its too small! so i want cheap but kinda simple and lots of space as well. dont actually need it for any gaming . just for web searching

The 2600 is socket 1155. For you board you need to look at LGA 2011 chips like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116492

Unless you looking for $900 - $1000 otherwise forget SKT2011... But i will say for your system next upgarde should go for SKT2011...

You CPU 950 just a little bit below i5-2500K.. and I don't know you overclock or not ... looks after you spend $700- $800 ... may be not significant improve you can see
