I have a Corsair RM 650x PSU and have just tried to upgrade from a 1050ti to a 4070 but it doesnt appear that my PSU has the extra 8pin for the GPU. Am i blind? If someone could help that would be fantastic.

How are we going to know what cables you have connected to the power supply? It does indeed come with multiple pcie cables so maybe look in the psu box?

Did you build your computer?
My apologies. There are no more cables for the psu as there are no more ports at the back of the psu for them.

I did build it when i was a much smarter person, years ago.

Well, it has 3 PCIe/EPS connectors. So depending on your motherboard you might be using two of those for the CPU?

Two daisy chained cables should get you 4 6+2 Pin PCIe connectors, though I am not certain the RM650x comes with that many in the box.

There are also multiple revisions of the RM650x, so you would need be quite specific.

Provide motherboard model, GPU model, and what year you bought this PSU in, that should get us enough information.

Generally though, I would say if you are going from a 1050TI to a 4070 and you purchased that PSU around the time of the 1050Ti, then it is old enough to consider a replacement anyway.
