Trying to use a Netgear N600 router as a wifi adapter for Xbox 360

Hi, I'm trying to hook up my kids' Xbox 360 to my Xfinity wifi signal, in a location too far to hard wire into the router. Is there a way to have both my xfinity router and the netgear n600 (wndr3400v2) communicate, so I can plug the 360 into the netgear in their room and pick up the wifi signal from the main router?

I've done some decent googling to no avail so far. Found the dd-wrt site and it said firmware was wip for that model. Are there any other options? Thanks!

The term clinet-bridge is correct. You can look for devices called repeaters but you then have to really read the fine print because manufactures call a number of different devices repeaters. Very technically you could call a 8 port switch a repeater.

I thought they sold usb wireless nic cards for the xbox 360 but I forget its been a very long time since I had any type of game console.
Thanks for the reply. I started researching this but I'm not experienced in any of it so I'm having a hard time making headway. Does anyone know if it's possible, and could you provide the steps I would need to take?

Edit: I forgot to mention that I looked up what a client bridge is, and it seems to be a way to link two different networks together. This isn't my situation, I just have one network through comcast, and I want the netgear router to pick up that connection wirelessly so that I can plug the Xbox into the netgear router right next to the console in another room, away from the comcast router. Hope this makes sense. Thanks!

Hi I had the issue of my WiFi wireless is upstairs Xbox is downstairs directly below, but even so was showing a low signal and having issues downloading bought a WiFi range extender N300 set it up eventually and plugged it in same room as Xbox it has its own name such as if your WiFi is called infinitybt321 would be same than netgear and then you use that network channel, I've just reminded myself haven't connected to new WiFi as yet I'm with virginmedia
