Hi. My sister recently found her old iphone 5s and I'm trying to get it usable again. However, there are 2 problems. 1) the passcode is years old and she doesn't remember it 2) the home button is broken, meaning you have to use the touch-screen alternative Also, the phone is now disabled. I suspect that I did this in iCloud by mistake, confusing it with my other 5s that was stolen abroad because I don't think that was there before.
Normally you can do a factory reset by holding the home button and power button together, but that doesn't appear to work with the 'virtual' home button. Also, attaching it to iTunes says 'to allow access, please respond on your phone'. Alas, without the passcode I can't do that either. Any suggestions?
