Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) will start volume production on 45nm technology in the third quarter of 2007 at the earliest, according to company vice president Jack Sun, while sources added that United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) is also working on developing its 45nm process technology.
