Funny to me how one of the biggest companies in the world isn't very familiar with American culture, politics, and work ethics. No, TSMC, you literally cannot run fabs in the U.S. the same way you do in Taiwan. I'm not pointing fingers on who's better or worse, right or wrong; instead, it really starts to become a case study in large investments and expansions into nations outside of home and setting realistic expectations and compromises.

It should have been a provision in the CHIPs Act to require all roles be filled domestically and any request for foreign national employment be submitted to the government under the assumption of denial except for under extreme cases.
