tubes turned yellowish in 2 weeks ???

hi,

i need your guys help i just build this water loop with

cpu - gpu nickle plated copper blocks

brass fittings

copper radiator

pvc soft tubing

i only used distilled water no additives, any ideas whats going on ??? one more thing i can peal the yellow stuff from inside the tube but the tube still look cloudy

So you mean to say you dont have any anti corrosion or algae growth inhibitors in the loop??
Well that is fault number 1.

And by doing that fault I am pretty sure you did not clean or flush your radiator(s) or cleaned the blocks..
If so that is fault number 2.

And when you use soft tubing make sure the tube is made to use in the water cooling loop. Many soft tubes are not and they will start to leak plasticizer into the loop. Causing blocks, rads to gunk up. And the tubes will "fog" up cause of it.


Overall it seems to me that you jumped off the deep end without doing enough reading and learning about PC Custom water loops...

I have wached everything with warm distilled water before i used them multiple times.
The tubes are sourced from Chinese ebay seller he might have stored them out in the sun ?
Or maybe its just an old tubes.
Or do do you think its because i didn't use additives?

With the same tubes. I have 2m extra. If it goes yellow again then its a bad tubing

Always use a anti corrosion and growth inhibitor. And swap fluids every 1 - 2 years depending on your use.

I would not use that tubing then if I where you. If it is bad tubing and most likely it is. All you will do is making work for yourself using it.
You will have to strip the whole loop apart and clean everything: Rads, pump, res, blocks etc from leaking plasticizer...

I would also recommend both tubes they are using in the test for use instead for the "no"brand chinese tube.
