Hello,

I have never owned/built a AMD machine. Last year I upgraded from my Intel CPU to a Ryzen 7 2700X after a recommendation. I just found out recently I have been running for a year on 2133Mhz and upon trying to flip the switch on DOCP my machine failed to boot and shot me back to BIOS.

My bios at the time was Ver 0604.

I have since updated to 2008 in order to try and mitigate the issues. This update did not solve the problems. Rather it duplicated the same prior issues. I have also tried to manually set my own voltage to no avail. When I built the PC I had a friend who could help that I was on talking terms with. Unfortunately that is not the case and I have moved far far away.

Specs:
Ryzen 7 2700X
ASUS TUF B450-Plus Gaming Motherboard
G.Skill TridentZ RGB Series 16GB 288-Pin DDR4 3000Mhz
Samsung 970 EVO 500GB
EVGA GTX980Ti
EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1 650W 80PLUS Gold Power Supply

RAM is in slots A2 and B2.

Any assistance you can offer me is welcome. I am a bit fresh to AMD and want to know what to do for a new build I am doing for my wife in July.

Thank you for taking the time to read through my problems,
Stapes

Solution
What are the timings of the ram? If it's cas latency 15, you'll want to make sure command rate is set to 1T and gear down mode is disabled in bios.
