Question TUF B550-Plus RAM issue

I've got a B550 TUF board, have 2x 8GB DDR4 RAM in slots 1 and 2 and it works.

I added 2 more into slots 3 and 4 (same spec) and I get a orange light on my board and it will not boot. Move Two stick to 1 and 3 and the same thing happens. It's a brand new board.

Any ideas?

Are all four sticks identical? same mfr, model, size (GB), density, default timings? Typically, the best way to be positive of that is get all 4 as kit of matched sticks.

When you change memory configurations it's a good idea to reset CMOS to force the CPU to retrain memory. You may or may not be able to run XMP timings with all 4 sticks, it depends on their rated XMP and your CPU's memory controller quality.
