This is the second set of RAM I've tried and gotten the same result. Below - in my photo - you'll see the yellow light next to the RAM. The monitor stays blank.

Motherboard: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-TUF-Z69...RKTL5L3/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_i=B09RKTL5L3&psc=1

RAM: https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-64gb/p/N82E16820374408?item=N82E16820374408&source=region

here's the RAM I tried last week and concluded (wrongly?) that I chose the wrong one: https://www.amazon.com/G-Skill-RipJ...89-F5-5600J3036D32GA2-RS5K/dp/B09XZJZZC2?th=1

....What should I do next?

I boots up, the fans spin, and many lights. One light is the yellow one by the RAM on the motherboard.
I've had 2 folks look at it that build their own desktops, and they think I've connected power properly.

Specs:
Power: CORSAIR HX Series, HX850, 850 Watt, 80+
Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi LGA 1700 ATX Gaming
CPU: Intel Core i9-12900K
CPU Cooler: MSI MAG CoreLiquid C360

Thank you.

No disk?

No gpu?

I should have made clear that this is a new build so I'm yet to install the GPU and the SSD isn't initialized yet. I've tried things with an without both just for kicks.
I'm yet to see anything appear on the screen.

SSD:

Game Card:

What does the yellow light by the ram mean?

Are you sure the monitor works?

You're asking the right questions.

The light means there's a problem with the RAM. I tried two 32GB's past week, and I've tried a new pair this week in every combination - 1 or 2 at a time and every slot.
I've tried multiple monitors, cables, through the motherboard's and the graphics card's HDMI was well as Display Ports.

Is it possible I got a faulty motherboard?

Anything is possible.

Remove the cpu and look very close at the pins and the socket for any damage.

I have read stuff about overtightening the heatsink can cause issues.
